The mission of the 190th SAR is to provide Airborne Search and Rescue (SAR) capabilities in support of CAP and other customer in Western Michigan. In addition to providing SAR mission support, we conduct airborne photo reconnaissance, communication relay, counterdrug and aerospace education missions

The 190th SAR is the custodian of a Cessna C182 NAVIII aircraft. This aircraft features the Garmin G1000 ‘Glass Cockpit’, Becker DF equipment and a photo window in the scanner position.
